Final Reflection

I got a lot of lessons after joining microteaching class. First, I learn how to manage the class. I should speak louder so I can get the students’ attention but it does not mean that I speak harshly. Speaking louder means that I should speak clearly and understandable. Second, I learn how to speak fluently in front of the class. I always prepare what I want to say before I perform in front of the class. It makes me become more confident while teaching in front of the class. Third, I learn how to manage time. Before microteaching class I do not know about time management. I do not know whether time management is important or not but after microteaching class I know that time management is very important. We have to consider the time management because we have to give a proper set induction, main activities and set closure. Fourth, I learn how to make an interesting material. The material should be interesting because if it is not so the students will get bored and do not pay attention to our lesson. For example I should make an interesting power point so the students will pay attention to my explanation or I should make an interesting listening material so the students will not get bored. Fifth, I learn how to make a clear explanation. We should give a clear explanation to our students so they will not get “ajaran sesat”. Before explaining to our students, we have to mastery our material. By mastering material we can be more confident while teaching the students.
I think I almost have the characteristics of a good teacher. I try to do my best while doing the microteaching class. I prepare the material, I learn the material before teaching, I practice my speech in front of the mirror...Yeah...At least I have prepared it. I think I almost become a better teacher because after joining microteaching class I got a lot of lessons about how to teach properly. I learn a lot from this class and I try to apply it when teaching my junior and my classmates. I think I can be a good teacher but I have to learn more, more and more…
I think I have helped my friends to have the characteristics of a good teacher. I help them by being a naughty and noisy student. My friends will find the way to overcome those noisy students. I think it can develop their skill in teaching or managing the class. Sometimes I become a passive student and my friends as teacher will find the way to overcome that passive students. Maybe by having game before the class or giving gift or praise, etc… I think my behavior can help them to develop their skill. I think my friends also help me. My friends do the same thing like what I do. My friends become a naughty or noisy or passive student so I should find the idea to have my students’ attention. So I think we have helped each other.
Of course I help my friends honestly because we have the same feeling. We are stressful while finding and preparing the material. We feel afraid and nervous when we will perform in front of the class. We have the same feeling so I do not want to add more burdens to my friends by giving them low scores. I help them honestly and sincerely because I feel the same feeling with them.
Of course I feel happy with their comments. They give me great comments. Their comments really help me to improve my ability. From that comments I can know my strengths and my weaknesses. Their comments can develop my skill.
Everyone wants to get A. Of course I want to get A as well. I have tried to give my best and I hope I can get the best score too. I am optimist I can get A because I have given my best for microteaching class, I have learned and prepared the material. So I hope my effort will help me to give the best score (A).. :D
